Simple

Playful

Annabel Keijzer is a painter, illustrator and graphic designer based in the center of Amsterdam (NL).  After studying graphic design, she graduated from the University of the Arts Utrecht where she studied Illustration. Keijzers work is characterized by a simple, playful design language. Color and humor jump off the page, screen or wall to transform graphic shapes into characters and make ink blobs cuddly. Keijzer works for commissions in the worlds of art and communication. She also initiates personal projects. The award- winning picture book My Letter Friends shows it is possible to tell a story without using text. Keijzer combines her practice with commissioned work as designer and doing other commissions as long as she can retain her characteristic use of color and her playfulness.

Keijzers artworks are explorations of ideas, colors and associations in her mind. Keijzer uses these as a creative library for her designs, proza and poems – and for collaborates with writers, phylosophers, comedians and musicians. Keijzer is available for commissions in both the worlds of art and communication.
